Bowl For Kids Sake Raises over $37,000 for Williams Lake Big Brothers and Big Sisters

It was another successful fundraiser weekend for the Williams Lake Big Brothers and Big Sisters.

Even though this years total was a little less than last year, their Bowl for Kids Sake drew 60 teams to Cariboo Lanes where bowlers raised $37,281 over the three day event.

All money raised stays in Williams Lake for Big Brothers and Big Sisters programs and Executive Director Melissa Newberry says there’s another one being held in 100 Mile House for their mentoring programs.

The bowl takes place on April 9th from 12pm-4pm with the opportunity for 12 teams to register.

“We already have 10 registered so we’re very happy, as this is our first one,” says Newberry.

Newberry says was she pleased to see the high level of community involvement and commitment from all the Williams Lake businesses that put teams together and came out to support this annual fundraiser.
