A music duo from the Cariboo are now proud recipients of a Juno Award.
Pharis and Jason Romero of Horsefly won a Juno Award last night for Traditional Roots Album of the Year.
“WE JUST WON A JUNO AWARD!!” wrote Pharis and Jason Romero on a Facebook.
“Just got home from a walk in the backfield to a bunch of emails and tweets that we won for Traditional Roots Album of the Year. Holy @%@!. We’re beyond excited.”
Their album A Wanderer I’ll Stay was released on March 3, 2015, with the album’s title track the number one most played song on the Folk-DJ Charts.
The 45th Annual Juno Awards were held in Calgary.
