100 Mile House RCMP investigating fatal 2 vehicle collision near 108 Mile Ranch

Two people died following a two vehicle collision on Highway 97 North of Hickling Road near 108 Mile Ranch.

100 Mile House RCMP Sargeant Brian Lamb said yesterday afternoon (July 28) at approximately 5:15 police along with BC Ambulance and local Fire Departments were called to the scene.

Lamb said a vehicle was found on its roof on the northbound lane and the single lone occupant of this vehicle was conscious and extracted with serious injuries and taken by Air Ambulance to hospital in Kamloops.

“Two occupants in the other vehicle that was located on the roadway were also trapped.” Lamb said, “An adult female passenger was pronounced deceased and life saving efforts were conducted on the adult male driver who succumbed to his injuries at the scene.”

There were delays on Highway 97 for several hours while the scene was investigated and cleared.

Lamb said the investigation into the casual factors of this incident continues.

Police ask anyone who may have any information or dash cam footage leading up to this incident to call 100 Mile House RCMP.
