150 Mile House Volunteer Fire Department Responds to Grass Fire at Sugar Cane

The 150 Mile House Volunteer Fire Department was on the scene of a grass fire Thursday afternoon at Sugar Cane.

“It was a big surprise because we were just relaxing and my little cousins came outside and seen a fire…it was about 45 minutes ago they came outside and saw a fire starting in front of our house,” says Edward Razor.WLIB Grass Fire 2

“We were concerned because at the front of the house the flames started getting bigger and bigger from the wind. It just built like a big wall of flames and my uncle was freaking out and we were all starting to get the front lawn wet so the flames wouldn’t come up to the house and it kind of almost did until they (Fire Department) showed up and put out the fire which is really good, it saved our little trailer.”
