The Cariboo-Chilcotin Crime Reduction Unit and Williams Lake Detachment made an arrest in connection with a Controlled Drug and Substance Act investigation.
On Tuesday June 10, after evidence was obtained, one person, an adult man, was arrested regarding drug trafficking.
“A search of the suspect incidental to arrest yielded scales, packaging materials, contraband cigarettes, score sheet(s) and approximately one ounce of suspected fentanyl.” North District Corporal Madonna Saunderson said.

“After obtaining a search warrant, a vehicle associated to the suspect was seized and searched where police seized approximately three ounces of suspected fentanyl, multiple edged and blunt force weapons and additional evidence consistent with drug trafficking.”
The investigation is ongoing and the matter will be forwarded to BC Prosecution Services for review of potential charges.
