Two people have been charged following an incident that happened yesterday in the Lake City.
On May 27th, 2025, Williams Lake RCMP responded to a commercial break and enter in progress at the 100 block of Borland Street.
Media Relations Officer, Brent Vivier, said in a release, the suspects had broken into the business and later discharged a fire extinguisher.
“Two individuals were identified by police as 26-year-old Jacob Funk and 28-year-old Sekani Poole and arrested. Police held them in custody and the pair were later charged by the BC Prosecution Service,” Vivier said.
Funk was charged with break and enter with intent and disguise face with intent.
Poole was charged with break and enter with intent.
Both individuals were later released by the court on bail to attend court June 4, 2025.
Police said there’s no ongoing risk to public safety as this was a stand-alone incident.
