Outdoor Recreation Council Of BC Awards 2 Cariboo Communities Grant Money

Over $250,000 in grants has been awarded to support 32 community-based recreation projects in the province..including two in the Cariboo region.

Through the Outdoor Recreation Fund of BC the Cariboo Ski-Touring Club in Quesnel will be receiving $7,100 to renew all trail signs used at the Hallis Lake community recreation facility.

Williams Lake Field Naturalists/Scout Island Nature Centre $10,000 to replace the decaying Otter Point Bridge.

At a meeting on April 15, Williams Lake City Council supported the Williams Lake Field Naturalists and endorsed a Northern Development Initiative Trust grant application to help fund this project.

The Outdoor Recreation Fund of BC supports grants for community-based initiatives that create and enhance meaningful outdoor recreational and nature-based experiences for British Columbians.
