The Cariboo towns are all getting free transit to the polls on Election Day, April 28.
Quesnel, Williams Lake, and 100 Mile House are three of the 28 communities across the province from BC Transit.
Quesnel and Williams Lake’s transit systems both include free HandyDART services on Election Day.
The transit company says that Elections Canada and Elections BC have noticed that since BC Transit started offering free transit on voting days, more residents have been making it to the polls.
BC Transit says via their website, most routes will be slightly altered to allow customers to stop at the polls; however, the schedules will run as normal.
Transit added that scheduled runs have been adjusted to allow a wider range of customer pick-up and more poll stops on Monday.
