Ulkatcho First Nation Council Election on April 29

It will be a voting day for the Ulkatcho First Nation next week.

Voting day will be April 29, 2025. The polls will open at 9 a.m. and will remain open until 8 p.m. The polling station is located at the UFN Community Hall on Domas Squinas Drive.

Five candidates are throwing their names in the ring for Chief. Not among them is current Chief Lynda Price, who won’t be seeking re-election. Price was first elected Chief in 2005 – 2009, then elected again in 2019 and 2021.

The Candidates for Chief are:

SILL, Dereck
SIMS, Anthony
WEST, Stella
WILLIAM, Nelson (Charlie)

Thirteen candidates are in the running for Councillor for Ulkatcho First Nation.

The Candidates’ names are:

FRANCOIS (WEST), Destiny

Voters who are unable to get to the Community Hall may also vote online through the internet or by phone if they are registered on the Official Voters List. Any voters living off the reservation may also mail–in their ballots.
