Residential Home Lost To Fire On Two Mile Flat

It was a busy start to the long Easter weekend for members of the Quesnel Volunteer Fire Department.

On Friday night (April 19th) at 10:38 crews responded to a call for a structure fire at the corner of Hillborn Road and Highway 97 beside the Canco Gas Station.

Fire Chief Ron Richett said the fire was at a residential home that was fully destroyed.

Richert said approximately 16 firefighters responded along with four trucks and were on scene for about five hours.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
