Paige Cheek signs with a team that’s fit for a Queen

Another female hockey player from Williams Lake has committed to play college hockey.

Paige Cheek has committed to the Red Deer Polytechnic Queens women’s hockey program.

Last season with the Northern Capitals, U18 AAA program, the 17-year-old tallied 19 points in 32 games.

Cheek joins current and former Capital teammates Camryn Ward (Kitimat), Penelope Johnson (Gitanmaax), Gabby Meier (Smithers) and Knyla Evans (Prince George) at Red Deer.

Earlier this spring, Jada Wood signed with Ontario-based Queens University.
