March Callouts Up From February’s Numbers For The Williams Lake Fire Department

The Williams Lake Fire Department saw a slight increase in the number of call outs in March compared to March of last year.

Deputy Fire Chief Cory Boyd goes over the numbers.

In March we ended up having 38 calls to service. In comparison to 2024 we had 44 so our numbers went slightly down which actually puts our year to date at a 109 calls in 2025 and last year we had almost 30 more at 137 so it has been little bit slower to start off this year.”

Of those 38 calls for service last month Boyd said the Department responded to just one structure fire.

That brings us up to 4 I think year to date. We did have a few other fires that we considered to be more of an item or an object fire that did involve structures but the actual structure itself never caught fire.”

In February the Williams Fire Department had 33 calls to service.
