Northern Development Initiative Trust CEO retiring this fall

Big changes are coming to Northern Development Initiative Trust.

Longtime CEO Janine North will be retiring this fall.

NDIT Chair Evan Saugstad says this a bittersweet moment for the trust. “It’s kind of sad but on the other hand, recognizing that these are life decisions; congratulations for somebody to go through life wanting to retire and get to that stage.”

Janine North is NDIT’s founding CEO, which was formed in 2005.

“Janine’s been there since almost day one, she’s helped us build a great organization. We’ve got good sound principles and we are coming from a strong point to build on that.” Saugstad says

North will stay on as CEO until her replacement is hired to ensure a smooth transition.

The Trust’s Board of Directors will develop the process and timeline for hiring a new CEO at its next meeting in April.
