New Chiefs Voted in for the Tsilhqot’in National Government

The Tsilhqot’in National Government Nits’il?in-Qi(chiefs) voted in new chiefs and treasurer yesterday, March 20.

Nits’il?in-Qi Otis Guichon Sr. has been voted in as the new Tribal Chief for the Tsilhqo’tin National Government.

Nits’il?in-Qi Francis Laceese was named Vice-Chief, and Nits’il?in-Qi Troy Baptiste is appointed as the new Secretary-Treasurer.

The voting for these positions is held between the Nits’il?in-Qi Table, comprising of six Nits’il?in-Qi every year.

This vote was delayed until March from its usual time in December, as the Tl’etinqox Government would have a new Nits’il?in-Qi at the Nits’il?in-Qi table.
