Tl’etinqox First Nation Elects New Chief And Councillors

Elections were held this weekend to select a new Chief and fill 12 Councillor positions for the Tl’etinqox First Nation.

Replacing longtime Chief Joe Alphonse, who served for 16 years, is Dale Hance.

There were 15 names on the ballot with Hance winning with 97 votes followed by Blaine Grinder with 62, and Leslie Stump with 56.

A total of 54 people were running for the 12 Councillor seats.

Paul Grinder

Leslie Stump

Gary Stump

Jermiah Stump

Cecile Grinder

Brenda Harry

Trevor Mack

Dustin Hence

Alana Bobby
