Williams Lake Wrestler Pins Them All

Williams Lake is home to a Provincial wrestling champion !
Braden Conrod won his 66 kilogram weight class in dramatic fashion at the BC High School Wrestling Championships in Abbotsford on the weekend.
He pinned all four of his opponents on opening day to advance to the semi-finals.
Braden then gutted out a close victory by pinning his opponent once again.
It didn’t look good in the finals against Nick Lew, a national bronze medalist from the previous year.
Braden slipped and was in a vulnerable position but managed to maintain his composure and reverse it, locking the chin and butterflying for the win.
The crowd erupted and Braden had qualified for the National Championships which will take place in Calgary in April.
It is the first time that a member of the Williams Lake Wrestling Club, representing Lake City Secondary, was first in BC.
