Cariboo Medal Haul At BC Winter Games

Cariboo athletes performed well at the BC Winter Games in Penticton.
Quesnel biathletes brought home 7 medals.
Anni Kurta won three gold medals in the Individual senior girls race, the Sprint and the Super Sprint.
Ryan Elden captured three silver medals in senior boys and Graeme Hamelin won gold for junior boys.
Kelly Murray won a pair of gold medals in Archery while Emerie Watson won one gold and one silver.
Williams Lake’s Cole Turner was a double gold medal winner in Cross Country Skiing.
He won both the individual race and the sprint in juvenile boys.
Quesnel had four members…Jerman Severeid, Brock Terlesky, Clayton Bauder and David Robson…on the silver medal winning special olympics basketball team.
The South Cariboo also brought home some medals…bronze in rhythmic gymnastics.
Lyda Crossen from 100 Mile House and Emily Glen, Mikayla Julseth, Sarah Robinson and Mia Weir…all from the 108 Ranch…were part of that team.
And Wylan Hall, from Forest Grove, was a bronze medal winner in the under 60-k men’s judo.
