funds available in williams lake for business facade improvement program

 

Northern Development Initiative Trust has given the city of Williams Lake a twenty thousand dollar Business Facade Improvement Program Grant.

It’s primary purpose is to assist in improving the physical appearance and or functionality of commercial buildings for the betterment of business viability and service to the public.

Director of Development Services with the city of Williams Lake, Leah Hartley, explains who’s eligible for this program.

“The business owners or the property owners that apply and its focused on commercial and public buildings, unfortunately it does not include  residential buildings but its really intended to help to develop the business community here within Williams Lake”.

The Business Facade Improvement Program application and guidelines are available on the city of Williams Lake’s website.

Building owners or business owners with written authorization of the property owner can apply for this grant up to a maximum of five thousand dollars and have until the end of May to submit their application.

The Quesnel Search and Rescue received a $5,000 donation from the Quesnel Elks Lodge #298. The Director of Quesnel Search and Rescue says donation will be going towards advancing the Search and Rescue's technical rope rescue kit.
