it’s time to have the talk…about fentanyl

Talking and listening to your kids is the best prescription in helping them not to become a statistic of the drug fentanyl.

That’s the message Jordan Davis, Harm Reduction Co-Ordinator for the Boys and Girls Club of Williams Lake has for parents.

“The most important thing that parents can do is talk their kids about drugs and I know that its hard discussions to have and I think a lot of people feel like if we don’t talk about it it won’t happen but with this stuff happening with fentanyl its so serious and that one conversation might save your child’s life.”

Jordan says the biggest concern is that there is not enough awareness about how prevalent it is right now, we’re just seeing  more and more and more deaths from Fentanyl and overdoses from fentanyl.

There’s been at least 3 deaths from it in Kamloops.
