Charges laid in connection with suspicious death in Anahim Lake area

The BC Prosecution Service has approved charges in connection with a death in the community of Anahim Lake.

22-year old Winston Tallio, a Nimpo Lake resident, is facing one count of manslaughter.

He remains in custody pending his next court appearance.

Tallio is charged in connection with the death of a 26-year old man.

RCMP responded to a report of a fight at a residence near Nimpo Lake on the evening of December 30th.

Upon arrival, the victim was found to be in medical distress suffering from stab wounds.

Life saving measures were performed but police say the man succumbed to his injuries.
