Quesnel City Council has given staff the green light to apply for more than a hundred thousand dollars in funding to the Northern Development Initiative Trust.

$50,000 is for an Economic Development Capacity Building grant that can include any economic development activity, including staff salary.

35 to 45 thousand dollars is to host a local government management intern for one year.

This requires an investment of $17,500 from the city.

And the city is also applying for an $8,000 grant writing support grant which also requires a small contribution ($2,500) from local taxpayers.
