Rolf Zeis arena in lac la hache closing earlier than expected this season

The future of the Rolf Zeis Memorial Arena was the topic of conversation tuesday night at the Lac La Hache Community Club’s annual General meeting.

With the rink facing several obstacles to overcome it was decided to close it at the end of February instead of March 10th.

Larry MCcrea is a member of the Lac La Hache Community Club and he points out why the arena is in the shape it’s in.

“The krucks of it is that the use is down, expenses are up and the ability of the community to help operate it is down”.

MCcrea says another major problem they face is finding someone to replace the 73-year old man who is currently running the arena.

MCcrea invites anyone in the community to come out to the next meeting for the Lac La Hache Community Club on March 15th to find out more information.
