Pre-sentence report planned for suspect in aggravated assault in Williams Lake

A date has been set for a pre-sentence report for the accused in an aggravated assault in Williams Lake.

56-year old Larry Christopher Jeff is due back in court on January 15th.

Jeff pleaded guilty to the charge back in July.

Williams Lake RCMP responded to a report of a person attacking someone with an edged weapon in the downtown core in September of last year.

Police say they were told that a suspect had fled the scene on a bicycle before they arrived.

However, the victim was able to identify a suspect and he was located and taken into custody without further incident.

The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
