Voter turnout was up in the Cariboo

  Voter turnout was up in both of the Cariboo ridings in this provincial election.
   Almost 60 percent of eligible voters cast a ballot in the Cariboo-Chilcotin riding this time around, up from just 50.5 percent in 2020.
   Voter turnout in the new Prince George-North Cariboo riding was at around 59.7 percent, compared to just 50.2 percent in 2020 in what was then the Cariboo North riding.
   The voter turnout in the Cariboo was also a little higher than the provincial rate of 57.4 percent.
   The Cariboo numbers this year were pretty much in line with what happened in 2017.
   It was at 60.79% in the Cariboo-Chilcotin riding back then, and at 60.94% in Cariboo North.
