Fortunately It Was A False Alarm In 100 Mile House

100 Mile House RCMP responded to what they thought was a potentially serious incident near Hawkins Lake.

Sargeant Don McLean confirms that they were called out to a property on Tuesday after receiving a report that people with firearms were targeting the homeowner.

He says the police dog handler from Williams Lake was called in to assist, Candle Road was blocked off and two residences were contained by police.

McLean says further investigation revealed that none of these reported events had occurred.
