A man, facing numerous charges in connection with incidents in the Alexis Creek area, has been sentenced in provincial court.
43-year old Cassidy Baron Billy pleaded guilty to a charge of flight from police and breach of a release order.
Five other charges against him, including theft of a motor vehicle, uttering threats, dangerous driving and resisting arrest, were stayed.
Billy received no jail time and a 12 month driving prohibition.
Williams Lake RCMP responded to a report of stolen vehicle back in February 9th of this year, and police say they then received a report of a man going into a residence the following day and making death threats.
RCMP say they were then advised of a structure fire on the west side of the Anaham Reserve, and while they were responding there was a second fire at a church on the east side.
Police say a stolen vehicle was located parked in front of a residence, and attempted to leave striking a police vehicle before going down an embankment and ending up on its roof.
The driver then attempted to flee the scene on foot but was arrested with the use of a conducted energy weapon.
