City of Williams Lake having it’s ninth Harvest Nutrition Run this weekend

The City of Williams Lake is inviting residents to celebrate fall with the 9th annual Harvest Nutrition Run.

The event, which is tomorrow (September 22nd), will have participants meet at the Cariboo Memorial Recreation Complex and have walkers, runners and riders take part in a gentle five-kilometre route through the City.

Adult Recreation Program Coordinator, Maria McKee said “We invite everyone to come out to participate, and welcome all forms of active transportation like strollers, wagons, bikes, skateboards, longboards, scooters, wheelchairs, rollerblades and walkers.”

The run is to encourage residents to remain active and healthy throughout the year, and is a fun way to foster fitness and community spirit, while enjoying the fall weather.

The free event begins at 11:00am, starting and ending at the complex parking lot, and will kick off with a quick warmup 10 minutes before start.

More information can be found on the City of Williams Lake’s website here.
