It will be the 10th year, the City of Williams Lake will be supplying trucks and crews to help get things set up this year’s Indoor Rodeo.
Gary Muraca, Director of Municipal Services says the City contributed 16 hours in both prior to and after the spring event which sees over 5,000 people attending, competing, and volunteering.
“That time is donated by the union, so we supply the fuel and the equipment and stuff like that, but the staff provide their service after hours and on weekends to do that work.”
“I think that the City believes it’s a great community event and we like to support community events as they come up.”
Muraca, says the City, together with private companies hauled in 60Â to 70Â loads of dirt to the Cariboo Memorial Recreation Complex last year.
The Williams Lake Indoor Rodeo runs from April 15th to 17th.
