Interior Health is advising residents in the South Cariboo that the Emergency Department at 100 Mile District General Hospital will be unavailable.
IH says the changes to the ER services hours are effective immediately until 8 am tomorrow (Saturday) due to limited physician availability.
Patients can access care at Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake, Lillooet Hospital and Health Centre in Lillooet or Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops.
Interior Health said people in the community who need life-threatening emergency care should always call 9-1-1 for transport to the nearest available and appropriate facility.
