The Interlakes Annual Outhouse Races take place Sunday.
Sponsor Craig Charlton says it’s the great community spirit that’s allowed the races to continue for a third year.
“It’s a fun event. It’s nothing to do with the weather because as of right now the snow is melting on us so we have the track done and dozens of people out here that are helping out so I think it’s just become a community event that everyone wants to happen.”
The Races start at 11am at the Interlakes Service Centre and will feature a bonfire, door prizes, and the people’s choice award.
“We have the women’s, the men’s divisions, there’s everyone from kids that are 5, 6 years old they get to push for prizes, up to the Lions Club Members that are probably in their seventies that are pushing,” says Charlton.
700 people attended the event last year.
Registration starts at 10.
