Cariboo Memorial Hospital emergency department to see temporary service interruption tonight.

Williams Lake and area residents are being advised of temporary changes to emergency department hours at the Cariboo Memorial Hospital.

Interior Health said emergency services will be unavailable from 8:00 tonight (August 28th) to 6:00 tomorrow (August 29th) morning.

They add all other inpatient services will continue as normal.

Patients can access care at 100 Mile District General Hospital, GR Baker Memorial Hospital in Quesnel, or Bella Coola General Hospital during this time.

Anyone needing life-threatening emergency care should always call 9-1-1 for transport to the nearest available and appropriate facility.
