Williams Lake residents face another Emergency Room closure

There is another temporary emergency room closure at Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake scheduled for tonight. (Saturday)
Interior Health says emergency services will be unavailable from 8 o’clock until 6 o’clock Sunday morning.
This latest closure comes just days after Health Minister Adrian Dix announced several measures to try to prevent them, although he did say that sometimes they were unavoidable if someone calls in sick on short notice.
Williams Lake and area residents were once again advised to access care at 100 Mile House General Hospital, G.R. Baker Hospital in Quesnel, or in Bella Coola.
People needing life-threatening care were advised to dial 9-1-1 for transport to the nearest available and appropriate facility.
