Pharis and Jason Romero Up for Traditional Roots Album of the Year

Two music artists from the Cariboo have been nominated for the 2016 Juno Awards.

Pharis and Jason Romero from Horsefly are up for Traditional Roots Album of the Year.

Pharis spoke with us Wednesday afternoon and says they feel great!

As for if they’ll be attending the Awards which take place on April 3rd in Calgary, Pharis says they’re trying to figure out how to do that.

Their album A Wanderer I’ll Stay was released on March 3, 2015, with the album’s title track the number one most played song on the Folk-DJ Charts.

Pharis says it was recorded in their banjo shop in Horsefly.
