Temperatures had soared across the province over the weekend.
Environment Canada Meteorologist Andre Besson says in the Cariboo, temperature records were broken in Williams Lake.
“So Saturday we reached a high of 30.3 degrees and the previous record was 29.5 degrees that was hit in 2006.”
“Yesterday (Sunday), we reached a high of 31. 6 degrees and the previous high was 30.1 which was reached in 2008.”
Besson says although records were not broken in Quesnel, the temperature reached a scorching 33.0 degrees on Sunday.
The 2 top hotspots across the province were Kelowna at 38.1 and Lillooet in at 39.8 degrees.
