Phillip Thomas May will be back in Supreme Court in Williams Lake on September 1st.
May was also found guilty of Use of a Firearm to Cause Bodily Harm and Use of a Firearm in the Commission of an Offence.
The charges stem from a shooting back in May of 2014.
RCMP say were called to the 7000 block of 93 Mile Loop Road where they discovered that a 39-year old man had been shot.
He was taken to hospital with what police described as non-life threatening injuries.
