The 51st annual Mixed Valentine’s Bonspiel in Quesnel came down to the final rock in an extra end on Sunday.
Brady Waffle scored one in the 8th end to force an extra end and Ray Blackmore then won it with an open draw to the 4-foot in the extra end.
5-4 was the final score.
Whitney Christy, Wade Sharp and Carol Reid made up the rest of the winning team.
Grant Wawryk knocked off last year’s winners, the Dave Plant foursome, 9-8 in the B final.
Carol Thatcher, Terry O’Flynn and Donna Wawryk were also on Grant’s team.
And Simone Groundwater, from Williams Lake, skipped her team to victory in the C Final over Len Gamache.
Gamache had an angle raise for the win but it didn’t curl enough and led to a steal of one.
