Quesnel`s Primary Care Clinic received special recognition today (Sept 29) at the Union of BC Municipalities convention in Victoria.
John Massier, the Cariboo Regional District Director for Area C, says the Cariboo Chilcotin Regional Hospital District, under the application from the CRD, received the award on partnerships for community excellence.
He says they were presented with a beautiful glass plaque at the Community Excellence Awards breakfast.
Massier says the concept of the clinic is now being looked at in other areas of the province.
He says the partnership includes the physicians and healthcare providers in the community, Northern Health, the Hospital District, the CRD, the City of Quesnel and the MLA who agreed to move out of her office so that this project could move ahead.
