The Quesnel Rotary Club`s 53rd annual Seniors`Trek to Barkerville was a huge success.
Quesnel City Councillor and Rotary member Ron Paull says in spite of the fact that it was raining and actually cold that day, i think our seniors, judging by the responses that we’ve got, enjoyed it. “You know for some of these folks it is the only time that they get out of town.“
Paull says even the hour and a half long bus ride out is a chance for them to renew old acquaintances.
Around 124 seniors were on the trip this year this past Thursday. (Sept 8)
